Can I select my DJ?
Yes. In fact, we want you to. It's fun to choose from our unrivaled roster of world-class DJs. We think it's important that you find the DJ who is the perfect match for you. We will work with you to find that perfect match in a simple, yet comprehensive and comfortable process. Whomever you choose, we guarantee you'll be getting a fun and experienced DJ with a level of professionalism that only Delite Entertainment can provide.
Will you coordinate our night for us?
Without question. On your big day, you shouldn't have to worry about a thing. That's why Delite Entertainment and Photography will assume an important leadership role in the coordination of your reception. In fact, our DJs are more than just DJs; they're more like wedding coordinators (with much larger music collections, of course!). We will work with the photographer. We will work with the videographer. Heck, we'll even work with your mother-in-law to insure that you can start your marriage with the perfect affair.
How much experience do you have?
If you're looking for a wedding DJ company with a proven track record, you've come to the right place. We've been Florida's finest wedding DJ company since 1990, so when it comes to "unions," we've paid our dues ... and you know we'll be there to make your wedding day dreams come true. Each of our DJs are personally handpicked. Each of them have at least 3-5 years of wedding DJ experience. Don't leave the vast array of important wedding DJ duties in inexperienced hands. Go with the experienced professionals at Delite Entertainment and Photography.
What kind of attire do you wear?
Best man forgot his tuxedo? He can always borrow the DJ's ... At Delite Entertainment and Photography, our wedding DJs know how to groom - i.e. they won't just show up on time, they'll show up in a tuxedo. Having a less formal event? Your DJ will dress accordingly.
Do you play all styles of music?
Did we fail to mention our massive music library of over 300,000 songs? At Delite Entertainment and Photography, we play everything - from Rock, Jazz and Country to Alternative, Dance and Disco. From 80s, Oldies and Polkas to Big Band, Motown and more! We know that the key to being a successful DJ is understanding how to weave in and out of different styles of music in order to keep the party going and get all of your guests involved.
Do you play requests?
Absolutely. Playing your guests requests is a very important part of our job. Should a guest make a request that seems inappropriate for the occasion, we will work with that guest to find something to their satisfaction. Of course, the bride and groom will always have their requests played right away. After all, it's your big day ... not ours.
Can we pick the songs that will be played at our party?
Absolutely! Our goal is to provide you with the music that you want to hear. Some couples are very music-oriented and will provide us with a long list of music to play. Other couples simply tell us to play whatever it takes to keep the dance floor full. Either way, you can rest assured you will have an opportunity to discuss the music selection in great detail before your big day ... and we will be sure to do it YOUR WAY. At Delite Entertainment and Photography, you are the boss!
Are there advantages to a 2-person DJ team?
This is the easiest way to identify a company that uses inexperienced DJs. Because experienced, highly trained and talented wedding DJs can effortlessly execute all of the duties necessary to deliver a perfectly smooth and fun wedding reception, alone.
Any company that uses 2-person teams are simply using your wedding reception as on-the-job-training. Regardless of what they may lead you to believe, whenever you see a “lead DJ and second DJ” or a “mixer and MC team”, you are actually getting a “trainee”, or in some cases, two trainees.
On the job training is obviously a fantastic way for new DJs to gain valuable experience. However, don’t be fooled by claims that a 2-person team is anything more than what it really is…training! Without exception, the very best wedding DJs work alone.
What kind of equipment do you use?
As you might imagine, great sound is of great importance to us. Our DJs use only the latest professional sound and lighting equipment. All music is played from CDs and MP3s; we use cordless hand-held microphones and high-quality speakers ... and we provide a truly elegant light-show which will complement your reception perfectly.
Do you have back-up equipment?
At Delite Entertainment and Photography, we have a plan and a back-up plan. We would never send our DJs to an event without reliable back-up gear. Of course good equipment means nothing if your DJ doesn't also double as a great sound engineer and technical troubleshooter. That's why we'll never send you a DJ that isn't experienced in audio and and equipment problem solving. Which means if there's a technical problem on your big day ... that problem will be solved.
My friend said he'd DJ for $400. What's the difference between you and him?
Selecting the right DJ is one of the most important decisions you will make on your wedding day. After all, he won't just be playing music, he will be the Master of Ceremonies who coordinates your entire affair so that it runs smoothly. You need an experienced professional to handle that responsibility, not a hobbyist. Friends do not let friends hire them as wedding DJs. It is a recipe for disaster. Trust us, we've seen it before.
So, what should my wedding DJ cost?
Well unfortunately, the bad ones are a dime a dozen. There is an important rule when it comes to selecting the right DJ for your wedding day: if he costs less than your vegetable tray, you've got a problem. In the wedding DJ game, you really do get what you pay for. You can rest assured however, at Delite Entertainment and Photography, we only sound expensive. Our competitively priced all-inclusive packages are a tremendous value ... In fact, whoever's paying for the wedding DJ will probably be dancing down the aisle when they see our prices.
Do you charge any hidden fees?
No way! Even though many DJ companies get away with this type of scam, we refuse to do business in this manner. You will only be charged the amount on the contract. Period. At Delite Entertainment and Photography we pride ourselves on conducting business with 100% integrity!
What is the procedure if you can't make a scheduled event?
Fortunately, in nearly two decades of doing business, we've never had a last minute DJ emergency. That's right, Delite Entertainment and Photography has never missed an event. Better yet, we have a system in place to assure that we never will. In the event of an emergency that prohibits your pre-selected DJ from making your wedding, an experienced DJ will be on call and ready to go: gear loaded, tuxedo by the door and cell phone on so they can be on their way immediately upon receiving our call.
Can we come to see you perform at another event?
The answer is no and here's why. Weddings are private affairs. We wouldn't invite strangers to your wedding to see us perform. Likewise it would be unprofessional of us to invite you to someone else's wedding. We realize many bridal magazines recommend this tacky practice, and that many of our competitors allow it. In reality however, it is both an inappropriate and ineffective way to research your DJ. Why? Because you really won't get a complete picture of what the DJ is all about anyway: How will you know if he was there on time? If he played the right bridal songs? If he pronounced everyone's name correctly? If he played requests? If he was organized and helped coordinate the evening's events? In summary, we've all seen what can happen when "wedding crashers" show up to a reception uninvited. At Delite Entertainment and Photography, we know of a better way for you to research your DJ Company.
